An email was sent out late March to all members advising of the status of the agreement reached between UHC and UVMHN.
UHC has advised that they have reached an agreement with the University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN) to extend the current contract through Dec. 31, 2023, ensuring Vermonters and New Yorkers enrolled in UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored and individual plans continued access to UVMHN’s hospitals, facilities, and its physicians.
If you are a member that is an elected or appointed official, the IO requests that you fill out the form linked below. The IO uses this data to further enhance their understanding of the depth of public service among IBEW members.
We expect the renewal for the 2023 renewal National Income Life Insurance Company (NILICO) insurance to be mailed out in late April. You can access union supplemental insurance benefits from NILICO. All active and retired members are covered under a no-cost $3,000.00 AD & D group policy. This is entirely voluntary, there is no obligation to enroll. If you have any questions, you may call Dave Scalisi, our rep at 315-345-8425. He would be glad to take your call and answer any questions that you may have.
If you are a member at Utility Employees Credit Union (UECU), there are two $3,000.00 scholarships available for the 2023/2024 academic year. If your student is planning on attending an accredited college/university or technical/trade school in the fall of 2023, visit uecu.org/scholarship in April for more information.
